Re: Sphynx

This music is FAR OUT, MAN. Like, good weird. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGz0xfVsYT4

SA made mention of the mouth being opened by Horus using his Ur Hekau, via the Nik Turner lyrics.

Found this tidbit
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_c318bQtaWOQ/TPn07HJY8cI/AAAAAAAAAMM/TLgoqIZFp0g/s800/theUrHekau.jpg
Here: The sacred tradition in ancient Egypt: the esoteric wisdom revealed

I would like to thank the movie Inception for inspiring me to actually listen to this stuff. Oh, and looking up Ur Hekau. Yes, I admit it, I didn't look it up till now.

Re: Sphynx

A L E R T

YOU   SEE

Your Tube Link Above

Only Checked A Smidge YesterYore

A Bit More Today To Check The Difference Noted Above:

Please, No Offence, But Relative To The CD Version

Aaarrrrgh !!!

Absolutely No Comparison

None Of That Intro Flute / Strange Crap

4 Drum Thumps And POW !!!

Try To Keep From Dancing / Bouncing Your Ass Off

The Whole CD Is Thump

Although The Very Last Tune Is Nik And His Flute In The Great Pyramid

If You And Others Ever Hear The CD,

You‘ll Know Exactly Why This Album,

With It‘s Space (Former HawkWind Members) Thump

And It‘s MetaPhysical Depth,

Has Been One Of The All Time Favorites

(Played More Times Even Than Judas Priest, “StainedClass“)

!   !   !

Re: Sphynx

Did a little digging and found out this is by the dudes from one of my favorite psychedelic rock bands, Hawkwind.  Looking forward to giving it a listen... especially the flute parts actually recorded in the Great Pyramid!

Re: Sphynx

Well, the album is out of print and not sold in any digital distribution format... so... I think the best we can do is appreciate their artistry.
