Malwarebytes users info

I just discovered that Malwarebytes is updated almost on an HOURLY basis.
Be sure to click on the UPDATES tab on the main screen and check for
updates.  I guess if you buy the service this is automatic.  But if you're using
the free one, check it daily at least.

For those not using it http://www.malwarebytes.com, it's free and it caught
some stuff that none of my other antivirus programs recognized.

Re: Malwarebytes users info

Thank for this Tom, I am running the free version as I speak and it has already found infected stuff. I have had McAfee but they want a LOT of money now to renew. So this is a very timely help. Thanks!

Re: Malwarebytes users info

The only way to get rid of McAfee is to uninstall it, then run a search on your computer for anything with
McAfee on it and individually delete them.  I even emailed McAfee to get help removing it.
You have to do the same with AOL or Norton.  http;//www.avast.com is another free antivirus program
that I use.  It works very well.  I run either avast or malwarebytes every time I go to bed (after unplugging
the computer) just to be safe.  The antivirus progams that you pay for will send you a virus when it's
time to re-up your subscription.  Evil, isn't it.
