Back to Basics

Over recent years I've occasionally experienced brief periods of mild back pain and twinges (no doubt due to decades of sitting on sofas in a politically incorrect manner... roll) and I sometimes even felt it whilst sitting in so-called back-friendly mediation postures, but since discovering the following exercises in a Shiatsu book and then performing them every night before bed for the past month-or-so, I never get back pain now - at all. I just do ten reps in both directions for each set of movements and the whole thing takes no more than 5 minutes.

I'm not aware of having had any spinal curvature issues (which these exercises are designed to alleviate), but then it may be I've just retrained some supporting ligaments, etc., which had become lazy due to postural slacking.
